Crochet Patterns for Stash Busting

This roundup of crochet patterns perfect for stash busting will have you feeling inspired and help you use up all of those leftover yarn odds and ends that you have been hanging on to!

Do you have a lot of partial skeins of yarn left from other finished crochet projects? I know I have a ton of yarn odds and ends around here, from almost complete skeins to some teeny tiny leftover balls of yarn in all different colors.

Be sure to hang onto all of your leftover yarn because it feels great when you put it to use and crochet a fun new project all out of your scrap yarn stash!

The Stash Busting Challenge 2022

If you’re looking for some stash busting inspiration, look no further! The Stash Busting Challenge event is back this year and is going to make busting through that yarn stash so much easier! This yearly event, organized and hosted by Knitting with Chopsticks, features a new crochet pattern roundup each week for the next four weeks! Plus, the best part is that all of the patterns in the roundup are FREE PDF downloads the whole week! Each week, a new roundup will be posted with all new patterns to grab in the coming week.

Here’s a fun infographic to see how it all works!

To sum it up, first you visit this roundup to browse all of the patterns available in the current week and take note of the coupon code. Click on a pattern you are interested in and you’ll be taken to the pattern post on the designer’s blog (or their Ravelry page if they don’t have a blog). Find and click the download button in the pattern post (shown above), and you’ll be taken to the Ravelry page for that pattern. Add the pattern to your cart and enter this week’s code at the checkout to make it free! Head back to the roundup here and repeat the process for as many patterns as you like in the current roundup!

Remember to check back each Wednesday! A new roundup will be released and you’ll have until the following Tuesday night to download any of the patterns you’d like from that roundup!

Have fun collecting patterns and stash busting! You’ll find some fabulous designers that you may not have discovered before, and a variety of project types!

Share this event with friends by sharing the link to this roundup and info page! When posting your projects made from patterns in this event, add #sbchallenge to your post and tag the designer! We’d love to see your creations!

Hello! I just checked it to confirm it works. You’ll need to follow the link to the pattern on the designer’s blog, click the download button for Ravelry, and then enter the given coupon code when you add it to your cart. šŸ™‚ I hope that helps!

    2. Petra says:

It’s not just you. I also cannot get the code to work on the Strawberry Baby Hat. I have followed the links as instructed and no luck.

      1. Loops and Love Crochet says:

Hi Petra, I just checked it another time to make sure and it’s working on my end. Please double check that you are on the Ravelry page for just the baby hat and not the whole set with the booties. It’s the hat that is featured this week. If you click the “download this free PDF pattern” button within the designer’s blog post, it’ll take you to the correct Ravelry page. Let me know if that helps!
