I am such a lover of tapestry crochet so I was super excited to collaborate with eight other designers to bring you this holiday inspired CAL event! This event was organized by the lovely Veronika of Blue Star Crochet.

Whether you’re new to tapestry crochet or experienced, this will be such a fun event! The patterns are easy and perfect for all levels.

I hope you join in the CAL event with us and make nine fun and festive squares to use for a neat project!

Christmas Tapestry Crochet Pillow CAL Details

While crocheted squares can be used for many different project types, the squares in this event were used to create a beautiful holiday throw pillow! This pillow is perfect to add to your home decorating this holiday season!

Throughout the month of November, nine tapestry crochet squares will be released. Two squares will be released each week. Once you have all nine squares, you’ll be able to assemble your pillow!

Remember, if you want your pillow to be double-sided with the tapestry squares, you’ll need to make 2 of each design. Otherwise you can make a large panel for the back.

If you don’t want to wait for each square, you can also grab the bundle of all 9 squares. More details below!

The link doesn't appear to be working yet for the Snowflake square. Do they become available at set times during the day?

Thanks, this looks fun.How much yarn of each colour do you need in total for the whole cushion please?

Hi Ann! Thanks for your question! All of the squares are the same size so I just did a rough calculation and I'd guess about 500 yds in total. I can't split it up by color because it depends on which colors you choose for the squares and also what you plan to do for the back side of the pillow. Hope that helps a bit! :)

Is the pattern for tapestry crochet the same if left handed?

Loops and Love Crochet

Thursday 3rd of November 2022

Hi Pat! Yes, tapestry crochet will work left handed as well. You'd just read the graph from left to right instead of right to left. I think the written instructions for the stocking are for right handed, so you'll need to follow the graph instead. :)
